ONLINE SAFETY
Argyle ISD is committed to providing a safe digital learning environment for all students.
We use internet filtering systems designed to limit minors’ access to inappropriate or harmful content. Websites are organized into categories, and those identified as unsafe or not suitable for school are automatically blocked, while appropriate educational resource categories remain accessible. Because countless new websites are created daily, some sites may not be categorized correctly right away. When identified, adjustments are made promptly. We promote the safety and security of students when using email and other forms of digital communication by monitoring activity on school-issued devices and accounts, and providing appropriate safeguards and supervision.
We use network security, account protections, monitoring tools, and secure data practices to help prevent unauthorized access, unlawful online activity, and the improper sharing of student information, while continuing to balance student safety with meaningful access to digital learning resources.
To support families at home, we also provide access to GoGuardian Parent, which allows parents and guardians to view their student’s browsing activity and set additional controls on school-issued devices outside of school hours.
